Informing Patients About the Complaint Procedure
Healthcare facilities accredited by CIHQ for deemed status must notify patients—or their appointed representatives—of their right to file complaints with CIHQ regarding care quality or safety issues. There is no requirement for patients or their representatives to notify the organization prior to submitting a complaint.
